Why are your sneakers made in Europe?Updated 2 years ago
NPS Shoes produces its footwear using the goodyear welted construction method, all in our factory in Wollaston, Northamptonshire. Our Solovair sneakers are not goodyear welted; the sole is affixed using the Blake construction methodology. This method of soling the footwear is not native to our factory and therefore we’ve had the sneakers partly made with a factory in Europe that has the required machinery.
If the Solovair sneaker proves a popular style, we will be able to justify the investment in the same Blake machinery and staff training to ensure they are made in the NPS Shoe factory moving forward.
